The Ministry of Commerce and five other departments jointly launched a pilot program for the integrated development of TCM service consumption and service trade, with 18 regions including Chongqing and Chengdu selected for the pilot list. The pilot regions will explore key areas such as creating TCM health consumption scenarios, international cooperation in TCM service trade, and the development of TCM wellness tourism, promoting deep integration of TCM with cultural tourism, wellness and other industries.
This policy provides important institutional support for the development of TCM wellness medical tourism. Pilot regions will receive support in terms of policies, funding, and talent, accelerating the creation of new TCM health consumption scenarios and promoting TCM services to the international market.
